Brief Description
The DSM-5 Level 2—Anger—Parent Report is the 5-item PROMIS Calibrated Anger Measure that assesses the domain of anger in children and adolescents. The measure is to be completed by the parent or guardian about the child. Each item asks the parent or guardian to rate the severity of their child’s anger during the past 7 days (e.g., “My child felt mad.”) on a scale from “Never” to “Almost Always”.

Summary of Scoring and Interpretations
The DSM-5 Level 2 - Anger - Parent Report is scored on a 5-point Likert scale from 1 (“Never”) to 5 (“Almost Always”). A total score is calculated by summing the item responses and ranges from 5 to 25; higher scores are associated with higher levels of anger severity. See table below for cutoffs and interpretations.
