Overview: The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) looks at five facets of mindfulness including observation, description, aware actions, non-judgmental inner experience, and non-reactivity. It is a good measure of a where a person currently stands in relation to mindfulness and self-awareness and can even provide insight on the effectiveness of past mindful practices or experiences.

Scoring and interpretation: Answers are scored on a 5-point Likert scale from 1 for "Never or very rarely true" to 5 for "Very often or always true." Some questions are reverse scored including 3, 5, 8, 10, 12-14, 16-18, 22-23, 25, 28, 30, 34-35, and 38-39. Scores are summed and total scores range from 39 to 195. Higher scores are associated with higher mindfulness and self-awareness.

Describing: 2, 7, 12R (reversed), 16R, 22R, 27, 32, 37
