Overview: The Wender Utah ADHD Rating Scale is a 25-question measure to be completed for adults who may have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The measure asks questions about the adult's experience of symptoms from childhood that may be associated with a diagnosis of ADHD.

Scoring and interpretation: Responses are scored on a 5 point Likert scale with "Not at all or very slightly" being scored as 0 and "Very much" being scored as a 4. Scores are summed. Possible scores range from 0 to 100. Data from the original study suggest a clinical cutoff of 46. If a client scores 46 or higher, the result is clinically significant to suggest they may have ADHD.
Reliability/Validity: 86% of patients with ADHD were correctly identified in the original study.
