How to Run a Blueprint Session Live with a Client

  1. Navigate to the client's profile and click the blue Start Session button in the upper-right

💡 We recommend starting the Blueprint Session before starting the actual session with your client so that you can get a quick overview of their week before beginning.

  2. In the Check-in section you can review and talk to your client about any updates to their mood that they've reported via the Lifestyle Correlates Check-in, as well as any Assessments they've completed in the last week.

💡 Click the name of the Assessment to view the client's detailed responses.

  3. In the Recap Last Session section you can quickly see and review which Interventions, if any, you completed with the client in their previous Blueprint Session. Any Psychotherapy Notes you jotted down will also appear here.

  4. In the Review Homework section you can see and talk about any Worksheets your client completed since their last Blueprint Session.

💡 Click the Worksheet title to view the client's detailed responses.

  5. In the Deliver Interventions section you can add Interventions to do with your client. If you added any Interventions to the "Interventions for Next Session" section in your previous session, they will automatically appear here as well.

💡Any Interventions added here will generate a progress note for easy documentation later, so be sure to include any Interventions you did with your client.

💡Some Interventions have a "Start ↗️" button next to them, which indicates it is a guided Intervention and you can see step-by-step instructions for that Intervention. Interventions without the "Start ↗️" button are non-guided Interventions and don't have the activity shown in Blueprint... yet. 😉 Rest assured that documentation snippets will be generated for both types of Interventions.

  6. In the Plan for Next Session section you can add any Interventions that you plan on delivering in the client's next session and assign Worksheets as Homework for them to complete between sessions.

💡 When you start the client's next Blueprint Session, the Interventions indicated in the "Plan for Next Session" section will appear in the "Deliver Interventions" section automatically!

  7. When you're ready to complete your Blueprint Session, you can click the blue End Session in the bottom right. You will be prompted to confirm you want to end the Blueprint Session, as there's no way to go back and resume once ended.

  8. Now that the Blueprint Session has ended, a Progress Note Summary is generated. You can copy and paste these notes into your EHR or wherever you document progress notes!

💡 If you need to come back to this documentation later, just head to the client's profile, click the Sessions tab, and click View Progress Note.

FAQ

  1. Q: What is the Psychotherapy Note?

A: The Psychotherapy Note is a space to jot down any notes for yourself as a session is going on. It's best to think of it as a notepad; it's not formal documentation, but instead quick reminders for yourself which you can look back on at anytime.

  2. Q: Is the Psychotherapy Note visible to Clients or included in the documentation snippets for the session?

A: No, the Psychotherapy Note is not visible to Clients and will not be included in any auto-generated documentation snippets besides the one labeled Psychotherapy Note.

  3. Q: Can I view and copy progress note text from past Blueprint Sessions?

A: Yes, you can do all documentation at the end of the week in the client's Sessions tab.

  4. Q: Can I see or assign Symptom Tracker Check-ins in a Session?

A: No, currently Symptom Tracker Check-ins results do not appear in the Blueprint Session and cannot be assigned from the Blueprint Session. Only Worksheet and Lifestyle Correlate Check-in results appear.
