Having issues with Blueprint? Try these quick and easy tips to resolve.

Updated over a week ago

If you're experiencing technical issues with your notes, don't worry -- we're here to help. We've compiled a short list of troubleshooting steps that we've found address the most common issues.

The basics

Start here! These things may seem simple but they can definitely help with any technical difficulties you may be experiencing.

  1. πŸ”„ Restart your device

  2. βœ… Make sure your computer's operating system and your internet browser (Chrome is recommended) are both up to date

  3. πŸ›œ Make sure your network connection is stable

Take a look at the wifi indicator in the upper-right corner of your screen. If you have less than full bars, consider changing your location to get better signal and avoid disruptions.

The advanced

Still having trouble? Let's dig deeper.

  1. πŸ’» Telehealth session? If you're using Blueprint during a telehealth session:

    • Make sure to use a computer, not a phone or tablet

    • Make sure to use Google Chrome as your internet browser

    • If you're using headphones, make sure your telehealth session is open in an internet browser (not the Zoom app installed on your computer) and be sure to share that browser tab's audio when prompted

  2. πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ If you're using Chrome but still running into hiccups, try running Blueprint in Chrome's Incognito mode

Incognito mode provides you with a clean environment to eliminate potential issues that are related to cookies, local storage, permissions, etc.

  3. 🎀 Within the Blueprint Session window, make sure the correct audio input is selected

You'll be prompted to select your audio input when starting the recording. You can change it during the recording by clicking "Settings" on the bottom toolbar. You'll most likely want to choose your device's built-in microphone, unless you're using headphones with a mic or have an external mic.

  4. πŸ“Ά Within the Blueprint window, make sure you can see the volume indicator moving

If not, that means Blueprint isn't picking up any audio and won't be able able to generate a Transcript or Progress Note. Try a different mic, or if using an external mic try unplugging, wait, and plug in again.
